Note: the wooden structure and the barrels on the far left should be compared with the photograph by Miot in the National Archives of Canada showing a vat used for making cod-liver oil. The location is possibly Barbace Cove, Port au Choix. Barbace Cove was used by the French and the remains of a bread oven can be found there. Thanks to Iris Gould for the identification.

Note: le cadre en bois et les barriques à l'extrême gauche sont à comparer avec la photographie de Miot aux Archives nationales du Canada montrant un cageot (destiné à la fabrication de l'huile de foie de morue). Le site est peut-être Barbace Cove, Port au Choix. Les Français pêchaient à cet endroit et on y trouve les vestiges d'un four à pain. Merci à Iris Gould pour l'identification.
