Dr. Amin Muhammad, professor of Psychiatry, is author of the article, Mentorship Program in Psychiatry: a Canadian Initiative, published Sept. 28 in BMJ Careers. The article looks at innovative approaches to improve the standard of education where two people establish a mentoring relationship; in this case a psychiatrist and a trainee, outside their place of work.
Dr. David Peddle, Philosophy, Grenfell College, presented a paper titled Christianity and Liberalism in the Thought of Rawls and Hegel at Pluralism, Politics and God: An International Symposium on Religion and Public Reason, McGill University, Montreal, Sept. 13-15.
Dr. Ronald Rompkey, Department of English, delivered a paper titled Les épreuves diplomatiques de Charles Riballier des Isles, agent consulaire à Terre-Neuve avant l’Entente Cordiale, at the international colloquium Entre Golfe du Saint Laurent et Centre Ouest Atlantique: Rencontres et Échanges held at the University of La Rochelle, France, on Sept. 28.
Dr. Bill Schipper, English, was invited to make a presentation on Montecassino MS 132 and the Manuscript Tradition of Hrabanus Maurus’s De rerum naturis to a workshop held July 19-20, 2007, at the Johannes-Gutenberg Universität in Mainz, sponsored by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft and the Akademie der Wissenschaften, Mainz. He also published a paper The Origin of the Trinity College Hrabanus in Cambridge Illuminated: the Conference Proceedings (Turnhout and London, 2007).
