Play Acting
Memorial’s Reid Theatre has been alive with action this month as rehearsals have been underway for the play Woyzeck. Stage Monkey Productions, made up of students mostly from English 4401, which is being taught by Dr. Jamie Skidmore, and English 3351, which is being taught by Jeff Baggs and Jason Smith, was formed to produce the show. Here, Catherine Schwab, who plays the character The Talker, takes to the stage during a recent rehearsal. A portion of the proceeds from the show’s opening night, Nov. 22, went towards the Dick Buehler Award in Theatre, created in honour of the influential English and theatre professor who passed away in July. Woyzeck continues until Sunday, Nov. 26.
