Obituary

Dr. Thomas Boyde Grandy

Dr. Tom Grandy of Ottawa, Ontario, aged 67 years, died suddenly on Aug. 12, 2006, while on vacation in Newfoundland. Dr. Grandy was a graduate of Memorial and the University of Alberta, where he received a PhD in nuclear physics. Dr. Grandy was a firm believer in continuing education and knowledge gathering; and many years ago he and his family established a scholarship fund at Memorial University. Chu-In Charles Lee

Dr. Charles Lee, a faculty member from the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, passed away suddenly on Thursday, Aug. 31, 2006, aged 59 years.
