President’s Office with a variety of communications initiatives, from presentation preparation and speech writing to web design and strategic communications. Mr. Murray comes to Memorial from the University of Toronto, where he was the international communications officer for the Office of the Associate Vice-President, International Research and Development. In this position, he provided communications services to U of T’s central administration, including the president. Other previous communications work includes a long stint as a communications officer and policy analyst for the New York City Campaign Finance Board. Mr. Murray is also an award-winning poet, having published several books, including two with the prestigious press McClelland & Stewart. Besides acting as contributing editor for a host of literary magazines, he has also been the poetry editor at the Literary Review of Canada and associate editor at Montreal’s Maisonneuve Magazine. Mr. Murray completed his undergraduate degree at York University, and has taught at Humber College in Toronto and New School University in New York City.
