Information session on project management course
For the first time, residents on the west coast will have an opportunity to pursue a masterís certificate in project management.
An information session regarding the program will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 5, 4-5 p.m. in the lecture theatre of the Forest Centre, FC2014, at Sir Wilfred Grenfell College. The program is being launched at Grenfell College by the Division of Community Education and College Relations in partnership with Memorial Universityís Centre for Management Development and the Schulich Executive Education Centre of York University. David Barrett, program director, Schulich Executive Education Centre, will present information regarding the program at the information session.
The masterís certificate in project management, which starts Oct. 25, will be held in nine one-to-three-day modules over a five-month period, concluding March 10, 2007.
Participants will learn about project introduction, project planning and control, team communication, project quality, project cost, management procurement and contracting, managing project risk, project integration, final exam and project simulation.
