Papers & PresentationsDr. Neil Bishop, Department of French and Spanish, recently published his article Exode exiliaire: ‘Le printemps de Catherine’ d’Anne Hébert, in a scholarly journal devoted to comparative literature studies, Acta Iassyensia Comparationis (number 3 [2005], eds. M. Cernauti-Gorodetchi and C. Constantinescu). This issue focuses on the theme of Imagologia Exodului (The Imagology of Exodus). Dr. Christopher Kovacs, Faculty of Medicine, gave an invited research lecture at the University of Massachusetts Medical School on Feb. 8, 2006, titled Breast, Brain and Bone Circuit: Regulation of Skeletal Metabolism during Lactation and Post-weaning. Dr. Kovacs’ recent publication, Calcium and Bone Disorders during Pregnancy and Lactation, was published in Endocrinology and Metabolism Clinics of North America 2006; 35(1); 21-51. Co-author on this is Dr. Ghada El-Hajj Fuleihan from the American University of Beirut Medical Center in Beirut, Lebanon. |
