Dr. Christopher Kovacs recently presented an invited lecture entitled Calcitonin modulates mineral homeostasis during lactation at the 20th Annual Meeting of the Society for Advances in Mineral Metabolism, held in Snowmass, Colorado.
Dr. Kam Hon Chu, Economics, recently had his paper, titled Solution to the SiegelParadox, accepted for publication in Open Economies Review.
Dr. Kim N. I. Bell, Biology, received an award to attend the Symposium on the Biology of Hawaian Streams and Estuaries where he is to read a paper entitled Stream Drift or Rheoplankton: Methods, Larval Types, Temporal Cycles and In Situ Mortality Estimation, with Conservation Implications
Dr. Graham Shorrocks, English, received an award from the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (German Research Foundation) to attend the Celtic Englishes IV/Englisch in den keltischen Ländern IV: Exploring the “Celticity” of the Celtic Englishes, an international colloquium held at the Institute of English and American Studies, University of Potsdam, Germany. Dr. Shorrocks was an invited discussant.
