Space for music and movement
More than 100 singers and instrumentalists from the School of Music performed alongside 10 dancers from Neighbourhood Dance Works on the St. John's campus recently. The movement originated in the tunnels at the School of Music and ended at the QEII Library. The performance, titled In a Large Open Space, by James Tenney, was part of the Newfound Music Festival IX. The Canadian Music Centre funded the performance through its program New Music in New Places.
