James C. Scott will be visiting Memorial University
March 10-12 as a Henrietta Harvey Distinguished Lecturer.
Dr. Scott is Sterling Professor of Political Science and Anthropology
and the director of the Program in Agrarian Studies at Yale
University. His books include: Seeing Like a State: How
Certain Schemes to Improve the Human Condition Have Failed;
Domination and the Arts of Resistance: Hidden Transcripts;
and Weapons of the Weak: Everyday Forms of Peasant Resistance.
