The Board of Regents has approved candidates for two positions
at Sir Wilfred Grenfell College in Corner Brook.
Dr. Holly Pike has been appointed interim vice-principal of
Grenfell College. Dr. Pike is experienced in academic administration,
having served a full term as head of the Division of Arts.
She has also acted as chair of the English and humanities
programs, as well as senior academic advisor.
“It was obvious from the endorsement she received from
Grenfell’s search committee that she has the confidence
and respect of her colleagues; she also has mine,” said
Dr. Adrian Fowler, principal of the college. “I think
we are fortunate to have found a person of her intelligence,
integrity and professionalism to serve as vice-principal during
this transitional period.”
Ken Livingstone has been appointed head of the Division of
Fine Arts, a three-year term commencing Jan. 1, 2004. Prof.
Livingstone has several years of academic administrative experience
as founding head of the theatre department under the previous
administrative structure, and most recently served as chair
of the theatre program.
“I am confident that Prof. Livingstone will provide
strong leadership in the division in the years to come,”
said Dr. Fowler.
