Thursday, Aug. 7
Public Lecture – Dr. Robert J. Elliott, RBC Financial Group Professor of Finance at the University of Calgary and renowned expert in the field, will speak on Money Markets and Mathematics at 7 p.m. in room AA-1046.

Friday, Aug. 8
Acupuncture – Ethne Munden, acupuncture practitioner in Chinese acupuncture, will give a talk titled Traditional Chinese Medical Acupuncturist Collaborating in Mainstream Health Care, at 12:30 p.m. in Theatre A, Faculty of Medicine.

Saturday, Aug. 9
Car wash – MUN Fencing will hold a fund-raising car wash at the Irving station, 194 Torbay Rd. (North of McDonald Drive), starting at 9 a.m. and going on most of the day.

Monday, Aug. 11
Registration begins for graduate students, fall semester 2003

Monday, Sept. 1
Final date for filing applications for admission to graduate programs commencing in winter semester 2004. Applications received after this date will be processed as time and resources permit. Applicants should note that most graduate academic units have earlier deadlines and should be contacted directly for further information

Sundays are family fun days at the Botanical Garden. A wide variety of activities are offered for the whole family including a nature walk at 10 a.m., story and arts and crafts time at 11 a.m., dining with ducks walk at 12 p.m., puppet show and/or story time at 2 p.m. and a nature hike to Oxen Pond with duck feeding at 3 p.m. Look for hidden creatures on the Garden’s Discovery Trail. Please call 737-8590 for more information. The Garden is open every day from 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
