Over the next several months, contractors will be working
in various locations on Memorial’s St. John’s
campus repairing and/or replacing damaged and deteriorated
roofs in numerous locations on the following buildings: QE
II Library, OSC Annex Building, Science Building, Media Services,
Education Building, Guy Court, Engineering Building, Coughlan
College, Chemistry/Physics Building, Incinerator, Vivarium.
This work is necessary to upgrade and maintain university
property and, more importantly, for the safety and security
of its occupants. Due to the nature of this work, at times
minor noise, sounds or odours may become apparent. Where possible,
all disruptions to building activities will be kept to a minimum.
Contractors will also be working in various locations on campus
repairing and/or replacing damaged and deteriorated sidewalks,
roadways and landscaped areas. This work is necessary to improve
on safety and accessibility to various areas. Due to the nature
of this work, at times, minor delays and re-routing of both
pedestrian and vehicular traffic may occur. Where possible,
all disruptions to regular traffic flow will be kept to a
minimum.
