TENURE TRACK FACULTY POSITION IN IMMUNOLOGY
The Division of Basic Medical Sciences at
Memorial University of Newfoundland invites applications for a tenure
track faculty position in Immunology. Candidates for this position should
hold a PhD with relevant postdoctoral experience. Preference will be given
to an appointment at the Assistant Professor level. The successful applicant
will be expected to establish an independent research program and contribute
to undergraduate medical and graduate student teaching in the area of
Immunology. Active areas of research within the Immunology program at
Memorial University include autoimmunity, viral immunology, tumor immunology

active research groups and graduate programs in Neuroscience, Cancer Research
and Cardiovascular/Renal Physiology.

Memorial University of Newfoundland invites

The successful applicant will provide strong, creative and collaborative
leadership and sound administration for the Faculty and serve as its spokesperson
within and outside the university.
In addition to a strong record of accomplishment as a scholar and teacher,
candidates should have administrative experience in an academic setting
and the energy and vision to sustain and build upon the Facultys
commitment to develop teachers who are community leaders, who aspire to
the highest standards of learning and who can effectively meet the needs
of learners in a diverse environment. The successful candidate will be
knowledgeable about the educational system in Newfoundland and Labrador
as well as the rest of Canada and about its needs for teacher-education
programs and ongoing professional development.
The Faculty of Education, comprising 777 undergraduate students, 280 graduate
students, 44 full-time faculty and 32 FTE staff, offers a wide variety
of undergraduate and graduate degrees. Further information on the Faculty
