Mary J. Burke
Mary Burke, retired registrar of the Marine Institute, passed peacefully
away at the Health Sciences Centre on Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2002, age 69 years.
Leaving to mourn her husband Gerard; son Gerry (Helen), Mississauga, ON;
grandchildren: Andrew and Sara; sisters: Carol (Neville Squire), Judy
(Don Fitzpatrick) and Joyce (Gordon Abbott), Westford, Mass.; brothers-in-law:
John and Frank Burke (Stella); nieces and nephews: Dan Squire, Tara Blackwood,
Stephen and Andrew Fitzpatrick, Sandra Tobin, Charmaine Ford and Frank
Burke Jr. and also a large circle of other relatives and friends. In lieu
of flowers donations in her memory may be made to the Newfoundland Cancer
Treatment and Research Foundation.
