| Photo by David Sorensen It was smiles all around as Memorial grabbed its second consecutive Atlantic University Sport (AUS) championship banner with a thrilling 80-77 victory over the University of Cape Breton College at the Field House in St. John’s on March 2. This was the first time Memorial has hosted an AUS championship event. Memorial will now represent the conference at the Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS) championships hosted by McMaster University, Hamilton, ON, from March 7-10.
