NSERC support for genomics research
NSERC has topped up its Strategic Grants Program funds by $1.5 million
for the upcoming competition to fund applications in the area of genomics.
Applications for genomics research must be submitted under the NSERC Strategic
Grants competition (deadline April 15). At lease one non-academic organization
that can use the research results must participate in the application.
Although this organization must commit to active involvement at all stages
of the research proposed, a cash contribution is not required. Further
information on the genomics research area is available from the NSERC
Program Guide Strategic Project Grants under the Biosciences target
area at www.nserc.ca/guide/b1_e.htm.
