The Faculty of Medicine, Memorial University of Newfoundland,
is seeking a Program Director for its Clinical Skills Assessment and Training
Program.
The Program will assess the clinical competency of non-licensed physician
participants and offer training in areas of need as defined by the assessment.
Administrative support will be provided by a staff position of Coordinator.
The Program Director will be responsible for the implementation and direction
of the program. It is anticipated this appointment will require a maximum
of 6 days per month with the balance of time spent in clinical practice
and/or teaching. An appropriate faculty appointment will be available
if one is not already held.
The incumbent will be a physician licensed in the Province
of Newfoundland and will possess significant practice experience. He/She
will have interest and experience in medical education, program administration,
and quality issues in medical practice, including credentialing of international
medical graduates. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
This position operates out of the western region of the province.
