Despite the chilly weather, Memorial
students joined thousands across the country for the annual Day of Protest
Feb. 6. On the St. Johns Campus, students gathered outside the Smallwood
Centre and marched to the Confederation Building. They demanded a further
10 per cent tuition reduction, more representation on the universitys
Board of Regents, a sweatshop-free campus, work-term equity for all students
in all faculties and the removal of ancillary fees.
