Murray
of the division of Community Health recently helped organize
the First International Fishing Industry Safety and Health conference
at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute, Massachusetts. Representatives
from over 10 countries attended the conference. Dr. Murray presented
a paper entitled The use of narrative theory in understanding
and preventing accidents in the fishing industry. He was joined
by several others from Newfoundland including representatives
from the FFAW and FPI. Further details of the conference are

Worrall,
Family Medicine, gave a presentation entitled "GPDM
The Group Practice Diabetes Management Study", at the 23rd
annual meeting of the North American Primary Care Research Group,
at Amelia Island Plantation, Florida. Dr. Worrall also chaired
the meeting of the NAPCRG primary care diabetes interest group
there. |
