Faculty strike ends

Student RallyCaught in the middle: Memorial University students understandably felt caught in the middle of the recent faculty strike. On Tuesday, Nov. 7, students held a rally for the entire university community aimed at ending the strike. Here Keith Dunne, the president of the Memorial University students union, addressed the crowd. Dr. Noel Roy, president of MUNFA, also spoke as did Darren Newton, representing graduate students, and Jade Mahoney who represented Grenfell students. Dr. Lilly Walker, dean of Student Affairs also spoke. The faculty strike ended on Nov. 12 and classes resumed on Nov. 14.
