Summer
garden

The Botanical Garden hosted a Seniors Day June 22 with
free admission for the 60-plus set. Visitors enjoyed the gardens
24th annual art exhibition, relaxed with a cup of tea or coffee,
and toured the gardens. Here, 92-year-old Kay Turner (L), a lifelong
gardener, and her daughter-in-law Brenda Turner, enjoy
the rhododendrons. The day was sponsored by the Friends of the
Garden and the Canadian Association of Retired Persons, Avalon
Chapter.
