Dr. William Frederick Forbes
Former
faculty member Dr. William Frederick Forbes, Chemistry, passed
away Dec. 28 in Ottawa. Dr. Forbes came to Memorial in the 1950s
and spent six years teaching and doing research. He was proud
to have been made a professor before he was 30 and looked back
on his years at Memorial with great fondness.
Dr. Ben Hyde Harvey
Dr. Ben Hyde Harvey, a founder trustee and longtime chairman of the Harlow Campus Trust, passed away Nov. 7, 1999. He served as chairman of the trust from 1977 to 1991 and received an honorary doctor of laws from Memorial in 1985.
Harold Maidment
Harold
Maidment, an employee with the Department of Facilities Management,
passed away in January after a brief but courageous battle with
cancer.
Richard C. Maloney
Dick Maloney, a retired employee with Printing Services, passed peacefully away Jan. 13 after a lengthy illness.
