The Board of Regents has appointed Dr. Axel Meisen as the university's next president and vice-chancellor. Dr. Meisen will succeed Dr. Arthur May, who retires in August and who has been president and vice-chancellor of Memorial since 1990. On the day of the announcement, Dr. May, the chairman of the Board of Regents Edward Roberts and Dr. Meisen tried on Memorial anniversary sweatshirts.
