DR. VIT BUBENIK, Linguistics, has had a monograph titled The Structure and Development of Middle Indo-Aryan Dialects published as the eighth volume of Motilal Banarsidass Series in Linguistics (Delhi, India). The monograph analyses the nature and pace of phonological, morphological and syntactic change in the history of Indo-Aryan languages during their middle period (4th century BC to 11th century AD).
In January, DR. CHRISTINE CAMPBELL, Environmental Science, Sir Wilfred Grenfell College, attended the 16th annual meeting of the Society of Canadian Limnologists in Ottawa. She presented a paper titled A Preliminary Analysis of Genetic Variation in Populations of Leptodora kindtii as Analysed by RAPDs, which was co-authored by J. D. Soehner and A. Castle of Brock University in St. Catharines, Ont.
On Jan. 17 DR. SUDHIR SAHA, Faculty of Business Administration, presented a lecture to staff members of the Canadian Diabetes Association in St. John's. His lecture was titled Building Teamwork: Principles and Methods.
