Ballad

LEACH: All right now you can do it
THERESA BUTLER: (sings)

The green hills of New Bay though far far away
My heart is still yearning the green hills to stray
Wherever l wander, wherever l roam
My heart is in New Bay my dear native home

I know that in New Bay a dear mother prays
Heavenly angels may guard me always
And I know that she’s longing one day with joy
To embrace once again her dear wandering boy

Her face though it’s wrinkled with many a long year
Many a sorrow and many a tear
No face under heaven l long for to see
No face under heaven is dearer to me

The love of a sweetheart may sometimes prove true
But oft times it changes the old for the new
The love of a mother the sweet leaving flame
It changes no never it's forever the same

The green hills of New Bay though far far away
My heart is still yearning the green glens to stray
Wherever l wander wherever l roam
My heart is in New Bay my dear native home
