Mrs. Peter Mushrow of Cape Ray

Mrs. Peter Mushrow was probably Mary Lee Mushrow (nee Buffet), born in 1912 in Pushthrough, Newfoundland. She passed away in May of 2002 in Port Aux Basques. She was married to Peter Mushrow of St. George's: the original family name is Musseau. They had eight children. From her, Leach collected a variety of songs, including "Harbor Le Cou," "River Driver," "Swansee Town," the Child Ballad "Lankin," "George Alfred Beckett," "The Baltimore," "Jemima's Goat," and "Fair Jennie on the Moor."
