Mike Carey of Cape Broyle

Mike (or Mick) Carey was born in Admiral's Cove on October 27, 1904, to Thomas Carey and Ellen Brien. He died in May, 1997. Another victim of Leach's handwriting, he has for a long time been identified as Mike Carew. (Carew, to be fair, is a common name in Cape Broyle: see the lyrics to "The Forrester Song.") From Mike, Leach collected "The Boy That Wore the Blue."
