Communication & Culture Program

Information about the Summer Program

The Communication and Culture Program is a short-term program created to meet the needs of English language learners of all levels who are interested in improving their English language skills in speaking, listening, reading and writing in a fun and friendly environment. It combines English language classes with specialized workshops, in addition to other fun-filled activities. The goal of the program is to improve English language skills while building confidence to speak in English. The activities included in the program will give learners the opportunity to meet local people in the community and participate in fun cultural events. There are two versions of the program: a four-week program with 25 hours of classroom instruction per week and a condensed three-week program with 15 hours of classroom instruction per week. The start dates are provided below:

FOUR WEEK (JULY/AUGUST)

  • July 9 to August 3, 2018/ CAD 2,300 (Students should plan to arrive on campus by July 8 at the latest)
  • August 6 to August 31, 2018/ CAD 2,300 (Students should plan to arrive on campus by August 5 at the latest)

Although there will not be classes on this day (which may change due to weather), you will be able to participate in the festivities around Quidi Vidi Lake.

The program tuition includes the following:

  • English classes (maximum class size 18)
  • Textbooks
  • Housing
