Diplomas
The department currently offers three diploma programs to augment degree studies. They are:
- Performance and Media Communications - This is an experimental learning program offered to students enrolled in the bachelor of arts program and to students who have completed a bachelor’s degree ( honours or general) at this university or another university.
- Creative Writing - The Diploma aims to develop students’ skills in writing in a variety of genres conventionally described as “creative,” such as fiction, poetry, drama and creative non-fiction. It will also offer students the opportunity to take, as options, courses that provide a background in contemporary literature in these genres.
- Professional Writing - The Diploma in Professional Writing (DPW) aims to develop students’ skills of genres such as the report, feature article, satirical commentary, speech, song lyric and review.
