Current Students

There are two ways to get into Memorial's Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science:

  1. Apply to enter directly into Engineering One or,
  2. If you are a Bachelor of Science student, work towards completing the 11 required courses and then apply for acceptance into Term 3

Application for Current Students

The application is due by March 1 and must be received by the Registrar's Office on or before that date. Late applications will NOT be accepted. (Note that while your application is due by March 1, you have until the end of the spring semester in the year that you apply to finish completing the required courses.)

To be accepted into Term 3 you need to have completed (before the end of the spring semester):

ENGL 1080 Critical Reading and Writing I
CHEM 1050 General Chemistry I
MATH 1000 Calculus I
MATH 1001 Calculus II
MATH 2050 Linear Algebra
PHYS 1050 General Physics I
PHYS 1051 General Physics II
ENGI 1010 Statics
ENGI 1020 Intro to Programming
ENGI 1030 Engr Graphics and Design
ENGI 1040 Mechanisms and Electric Circuits

Students should achieve a grade of at least 55 per cent in each of the above courses and should achieve an overall average of at least 65 per cent to be considered for entry into Term 3. Entry into Term 3 is based on an average computed from nine courses (Engl 1080; Chem 1050; Math 1001, 2050; Phys 1051; Engi 1010, 1020, 1030, 1040).
