Mechanics and Materials Engineering

There is a 15-credit-hour requirement for the award of the graduate diploma.

A student must complete nine credits hours from a list of prescribed core courses from Group A  and six credit hours from a list of prescribed electives from Group B, as follows:

Group A courses: Three core courses (three credit hours per course)

ENGI 9210 Advanced Engineering Materials
ENGI 9520 Solid and Structural Mechanics
ENGI 9550 Fatigue, Fracture and Corrosion

Group B courses: Two elective courses from the following list (three credit hours per course)

ENGI 9501 Finite Element Analysis with Engineering Applications
ENGI 9516 Similitude, Modelling and Experimental Data Analysis
ENGI 9540 Special Topics in Mechanics, Structures and Materials
ENGI 9982 mechanical Behavior of Composites (special topics course)

Intake: Fall, each year
