what they thought about when they hear the word “network”. Some answers
could be TV networks, computer networks, transportation networks, a network
of friends, etc

Hand out the
A-mazing challenge(start/stop at the same place and cover every road just
once)

Hand out the
House plan (start/stop in the kitchen and go through every door just once).
Is there any room at which you can start and stop and go through every
door only once?

Hand out the
first definition sheet and discuss the sheet.

Hand out the
Hiking trail worksheet (real life problem), start/stop at G. Can you cover
each edge only once and up back at G?

Hand out the
Security Guard worksheet (real life problem), start/stop at A. Can you
cover each edge only once and up back at A?

Hand out the
Mailman worksheet (real life problem), start/stop at F. Can you cover each
edge only once and up back at F?

Discuss the
difference between each of the three examples. Direction is toward discovering
even and odd vertices.

Hand out the
second definition sheet and discuss.

Remind students
to keep all sheets handed out and put them in their portfolio.
