Research

My research interests include aqueous environmental geochemistry and contaminant hydrogeology. My current research program investigates the fate and transport of emerging contaminants (especially particulate matters such as colloids, nanomaterials, and micro- and nano-plastics) in subsurface environments. I am also interested in studying heavy metal sorption to minerals and soil, mineral dissolution, and metal/metalloid contamination. My research is funded by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC), the Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI), and the Research & Development Corporation of Newfoundland and Labrador.

Student Supervising

I supervise Ph.D., master, and honour’s thesis students. Follow the link below to find graduate opportunities in my lab.
