The Centre for Language Testing and certification (DELF Centre) is a pilot project and an initiative of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. The Department of Modern Languages, Literatures and Cultures has received funding for the DELF Centre project from the Canada-Newfoundland and Labrador Agreement on Minority Language Education and Second Official Language Instruction.

The Centre has a network of certified DELF DALF examiners who work with the Centre to offer the DELF testing sessions as they are scheduled on the Canadian calendar. This includes the DELF Tout Public and the DELF Scolaire/Junior. All examination sessions are open to the general public as well as to students.

The Centre provides opportunities for educators in the area of French second language to become certified examiners/correctors of the DELF.

Professional learning sessions on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFRL) are also available through the Centre.
