Can I distribute materials to the class without infringing copyright?
- You may not distribute scanned or paper copies of copyrighted materials unless Memorial has a licence that explicitly permits such use or you obtain permission from the holder of the copyright.
- You may distribute lists of links to electronic resources made freely and legally available on the web or for which Memorial has a licence.
- If published works are incorporated into a presentation made on presentation software in accordance with the above guidelines, they must be removed before the presentation is printed or posted to Desire2Learn or another webpage.
Further information can be found in the Quick Reference Tables, and questions should be directed to the Copyright Office. It is your responsibility to avoid infringement under the Copyright Act. Memorial University is not responsible for any acts that infringe copyright.
