Services for Graduating Students
Photography
The university will contract the services of an external vendor, Grad ImagesCanada, to capture photographic images of this special day. Each graduate will be photographed on-stage as your degree is being conferred and back stage in a convocation portrait.
Within approximately three to four weeks of the ceremony all graduates will receive a passport-sized proof of their photo(s) along with information on a variety of photo packages to select from. There is NO OBLIGATION to purchase.
Memorial University will provide your personal contact information to the vendor solely for the purpose of offering you specific products and services resulting from photography of you taken at the Convocation ceremony. It is not necessary to pre-order photographs.
If you do NOT wish to have your personal information released to the vendor for this purpose you must contact the Division of Marketing and Communications in writing one week prior to your ceremony.

For the purposes of publicly celebrating the success of our students and updating university marketing materials, Memorial University's photographer will attend convocation to take photos of the ceremony and to capture candid shots of the ceremony and reception. Please advise your guests of this activity.

Gifts
The University Bookstore will have a booth at the Arts & Culture Centre, available will be an assortment of memorabilia for this special occasion. Apparel and other items can also be purchased online or call (709) 864-8084 to place orders for rings.
Flowers
Fresh flowers will be available for purchase at the Arts & Culture Centre before and after all convocation ceremonies.

Framing
If you would like to have your degree certificate framed, you may wish to use a service provided by Alumni Affairs and Development at the convocation ceremony. The cost per frame ranges from $45 - $190 for undergraduate degrees and ranges from $85 - $370 for PhD. Proceeds will help support the activities and services for Memorial University alumni.
Videos
Personal DVD copies of each Convocation ceremony will be available two weeks following the ceremony from the university's bookstore. Copies will cost $15 each (plus tax).
