Bruneau Centre for Excellence in Choral Music

Established at Memorial University of Newfoundland through a visionary gift from Drs. Jean and Angus Bruneau, the Bruneau Centre for Excellence in Choral Music promotes research and community projects that seek to understand, encourage and enhance the powerful impact that choral singing can have on individuals and communities.

Remembering Dr. Angus Bruneau

It is with heavy hearts that we learned that the BCECM's copatron, Dr. Angus Bruneau, passed away on February 19, 2017. Dr. Bruneau was a kind, intelligent, and generous person, and we are inspired by, and grateful for, his passion, mentorship, and generosity. We are honoured to oversee the work of the BCECM and to witness the positive impact his and Dr. Jean Bruneau's vision for choral music excellence continues to have on communities and music-making across the province.
