St. John's Chapel
In 2006 St. John's Chapel, which had been the Roman Catholic Chapel on campus, was renovated to a inter-faith chapel in order to reflect the diversity of religious beliefs and practices at Memorial University. The Chapel is a vital part of spiritual life of Memorial and the wider community. It is the site of worship, prayers, weddings, memorial services, social gatherings, lectures, discussions, and inter-faith events.
The Chapel is available to campus and community groups. All bookings for the Chapel need to go through the Conference Office.
Those wishing to use the Chapel for weddings should also notify your chaplain or denominational/religious authority. For some Chaplains, the Chapel falls under their jurisdiction. For others, they can give you some advice on who to contact to perform the ceremony.
On campus, you can visit the Chapel in Building 29 on this map.
