Memorial University is Atlantic Canada's largest university, located in St. John's, Newfoundland. Memorial provides European students with the unique opportunity to study Canada from the perihpery of the country and Canada's newest province. Memorial University offers students small class sizes and excellent academic opportunities in a safe and friendly city which has a character and culture unlike any other!

Extra-Curricular & Recreation
Memorial University offers students a host of extra-curricular and recreational activities. Students can participate in any of the many student clubs and societies funded by the MUN Students Union (MUNSU). For a list of active clubs on campus, click here. The Memorial University Recreation Complex has just been completed and offers students a wide variety of varsity sports, recreation, and fitness facilities.
St. John's is a vibrant city with much to offer the student population. The city is famous for it's night life, centred around 'George Street', a lively street filled with pubs, clubs, and taverns. St. John's also has an active arts scene, with quality live entertainment available year round. Movie theatres, restaurants, and shopping are also easily found in St. John's.
Students may alos enjoy the many outdoor activities which Newfoundland has to offer. Sea kayaking, boat tours, and excellent hiking are all available in the St. John's area.
