History of CSL at MUN
As a key event for I ♥ MUNdays, this annual full day event encourages students, faculty and staff to serve their community through various service-learning options. This event is an excellent way to interact with students outside the classroom and serve the community, and in some cases can be tied to curricular outcomes. Some of our past events include a build day with Habitat for Humanity, organizing food for The Community Food Sharing Association, cleaning up a beach with Ocean Net, and running programs at the Boys and Girls Club. Pull up your sleeves and become a part of the army of volunteers Memorial sends out into the community to make a difference!
Bethany Thompson, 2nd year Faculty of Science:
"I think it's absolutely fantastic that, as Memorial University students, not only do we have the opportunity to give back to our community, but we are encouraged to do so, as well. Participating in the Street Reach Community Lunch was, by far, the best thing I did in my first year at university!"
