Security

The following services are available to address security needs:

Laptop Full Disk Encryption (FDE) - A Laptop FDE service using McAfee Endpoint Encryption (MEE) is available for all University laptops. MEE is currently only supported for Windows systems -- McAfee is planning to have support for Macintosh computers in Q1 2010.

Firewall Requests - C&C operates perimeter (Internet/CA*net4) and select internal firewall services on behalf of main campus St John's.
Vulnerability Assessments - a trained practitioner examines the system for outdated software, missing patches, misconfiguration, and poorly written applications. The system's security can then be improved by addressing any shortcomings identified.
Incident Response - if a security incident has occurred, C&C will provide assistance on a case-by-case basis.
Security Consulting - one-on-one consulting regarding various security issues.
Privacy - for items relating to Access to Information and Privacy Protection (ATIPPA) and Memorial's Privacy Policy, please visit the IAPP website.
