Health Sciences Centre Mail Services
The Health Sciences Centre houses many organizations related to the delivery of health care services and education. These include: The General Hospital; Janeway Child Health Centre; Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Centre; School of Medicine; School of Nursing; School of Pharmacy; and a wide range of other related support services. Many of the infrastructure service organizations for the HSC are operated by the university. C&C is responsible for the efficient delivery and processing of mail. The following are the responsibilities of Mail Services:
- Receipt and distribution of all internal / external mail addressed to faculty, staff, and departments of the HSC (for university and hospital purposes only)
- Coordination of varied courier services, both to and from the HSC
- Messenger service for items requiring special handling
- Liaise with departments and suppliers to determine the most cost-effective mailing methods
- Maintenance of a budget and accurately billing departments for applicable charges
- Issuance, analysis, and award of related contract documents
