IT Services launched a new wireless service for guests and visitors to Memorial’s St. John’s Campus and the Battery Facility effective September 27, 2016.
Memorial offers a variety of information technology (IT) services to students – everything from free software to secure WiFi access to an app for accessing student resources.
There’s a new wireless network on the university’s St. John’s campus called @Memorial. Students, faculty and staff can connect to @Memorial using their MUN Login credentials. Those who haven’t changed their MUN Login password since May 11, 2016, should do so before connecting to the new wireless network.
Information Technology Services (ITS) is receiving reports of faculty and staff having issues renewing or downloading McAfee antivirus for personal use available on my.mun.ca. ITS is currently working with McAfee to resolve the issue. Please avoid trying to renew or download the McAfee antivirus at this time.
After the news today about loss of an external hard drive containing the personal information of approximately 900 University of Ottawa students, I want to take a moment to remind all staff and faculty that the protection of university records, and of the personal information of students and staff is paramount.
Information Technology Services will be updating all ITS-supported computer systems on Memorial’s St. John’s campus with Java 8 Update 101 on Friday, Sept. 2.
