To set up Windows Live Mail with your MUNmail account, just follow these steps:
1. Start by selecting the “Accounts” tab and then click on the "Email" button.
2. Enter your MUN Login ID (also known as your License Plate ID) followed by @mun.ca in the Email address field (e.g. MUNLoginID@mun.ca) and your MUN password in the Password field below. You can select the Remember this password check box if not already checked. Enter your desired display name that will be seen by your contacts. Click the “Next” button to proceed ...
3. By default, the next screen will have several settings pre-configured that you will need to change. Change the Server Type to IMAP. Notice that Authenticate using: Clear text is automatically selected. Leave it that way.
PLEASE NOTE: Also notice that the MunLoginID@mun.ca email address that you have previously entered has lost the @mun.ca, within the Logon user name field, so be sure to add it back as MunLoginID@mun.ca. Use the below screen shot for reference and ensure that your settings match...
4. Click the “Finish” button to complete the setup.
Congratulations! You're done configuring your client to send and retrieve MUNmail messages.
