The icebreaker reception will be held at The Rooms on Sunday, August 11.
The Rooms is Newfoundland and Labrador's largest public cultural space, housing the Provincial Archives, Art Gallery and Museum.
The icebreaker reception will be held in the café on the fourth floor of The Rooms, capitalizing on the space's amazing views of St. John's. [map]
A variety of hors d'oeuvres and other light fare will be provided. There will be a cash bar.
The CAG awards will be presented during the icebreaker reception.
This is event is included in the registration fees.
Note: The exhibits will not be open during the reception but there is free admission to The Rooms every Wednesday 6:00 - 9:00 p.m.
The banquet will be held in the reception hall at The Johnson Geo Centre on Thursday, August 15.
Located downtown on Signal Hill Road, The Geo Centre is a geological interpretation centre that houses exhibit galleries about provincial geology, oil and gas exploration, natural resources, space exploration, and the Titanic disaster. These exhibits will be open during the banquet. [map]
A three-course meal will be served, consisting of:
- Market Garden Salad OR Roasted Squash and Apple with Maple Crème Fraiche
- Champagne Chicken OR Hazelnut Cod OR Vegetarian Strudel with Red Pepper Coulis
Alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase.
After the meal, live entertainment will be provided by The Rolling Kings.
Attending the banquet will cost $80 per person.
