Flower Gardens

The flower gardens are located near the field centre and the entrance to the Botanical Garden. During the summer, the gardens are maintained by a small group of university students led by the head and assistant gardener. No pesticides are applied to the gardens; their beautiful display is a product of soil stewardship and maintenance, fertilization, and many hours of weeding and other hands-on approaches to gardening.

The gardens take on a new appearance almost weekly as different plants bloom, develop spectacular seed heads, or show off their interesting foliage. Multiple visits throughout the season are encouraged to really capture this dynamic display.
