History of our Gardens
Below is a list of our current gardens and their approximate construction and or opening date. This page is constantly being updated, so if you have anything to add please share! (email: firstname.lastname@example.org)

Alpine House: Built in 1991
Asian Garden: Opened in 2012. Was originally the White Garden.
Compost Area: Built around 2005.
Conference Room Garden
Cottage Garden: Built around the late 1970s, and has been renovated many times since then.
Crevice Garden: Built in 2009.
Potager Garden: Built in 2014. Was originally the Dried Flower Garden, which was built in 1995-1996.
Greenhouse: Built around the early 1970s.
Heritage Garden: Built around the late 1970s.
Medicinal Garden: Built around 2002.
New Plant Showcase: Built in 2012.
Nursary: Built in 2003.
Peat Beds: Built around the early 80s.
Perrrennial Border: Built in 1973, and has been renovated many times since then.
Rhododendron Border: Built in 1989.
Rhododendron Garden & Ground Cover Display: Began building process in 2012 and will be open in 2015.
Rock Garden: The original Rock Garden was built in 1975, and a new addition of a limestone Rock Garden was built between 1993-1995.
Shade Garden: Built around 2000.
Teaching/Children's Garden: Began building process in 2012 and opened in 2015.
Trough Collection: Open in 2014.
Vegetable Garden: Originally cared for by former curators in the early 70s, and was renovated with raised beds in 1997.
Wildlife-Friendly Garden & Chalet: Built around 1993.
Woodland Beds: Built around the early 1980s.
