PlantWatch

MUN Botanical Garden continues to be the coordination centre for the Newfoundland and Labrador component of the national PlantWatch program. This program enlists volunteer observers to record flowering dates (phenology) of early-flowering native plants. This data is combined with nationwide data and used to track any climate change that may be occurring. Madonna Bishop is the provincial coordinator of PlantWatch for Newfoundland and Labrador.

If you would like to become a volunteer for PlantWatch please contact Madonna Bishop at the Garden at (709) 864-8590 (ph.) or (709) 864-8596 (fax) or email mbishop[at]mun.ca. For more information please visit www.naturewatch.ca/english/plantwatch/
