Translation of a pentapeptide from an 18-base mRNA

The 18-base mRNA includes six three-letter codons, each of which is translated as indicated by the three- and single-letter amino acid codes. The message is read in the 5' 3' direction. The message begins with an AUG Met or 'Start' codon, and ends with a UGA 'Stop' codon. Stop codons are indicated in translated protein sequences by asterisks (*)
